Free Lesson Plan – “Save the Land” by Bethany Stahl

The Great Green Wall is an ambitious environmental project which aims to grow an 8,000km natural barrier across the continent of Africa to stop the expansion of the Sahara desert. When complete, the Great Green Wall will have a positive impact on the people, animals and natural ecosystems found in Africa. In “Save the Land”, your students will hear the story of Amari who learns about the Great Green Wall from her Momma. Together with her Momma and local people, Amari does her bit to help make this dream become a reality. We have created a free lesson plan for “Save the Land” to help your students discover the Great Green Wall project and to hopefully show them what is possible when people work together to build a better future.
