Bees play an incredibly important role in the reproduction of plants that form habitat and food for people and other animal species all over the world. And they make delicious honey! Unfortunately, bees are facing threats to their survival because of habitat loss and a changing urban landscape. We have created a free lesson plan for “Save the Bees” to help you teach your students about the importance of roles that bees play in the ecosystem and the actions that they can take to help keep bee populations and the environment surviving and thriving!

In this wonderful story, your students will meet Clover the Bee, who teaches Jo and Mateo all about her important job of collecting nectar and pollen and about the challenges that she and other bees face when looking for them. Jo and Mateo encourage their family and friends to take simple actions to help “Save the Bees”!
